It’s a struggle to always have the latest and greatest thing in interior design. At Automotive Interiors Expo you can find all the expertise you need. CTAG, a Spanish, privately owned, non-profit R&D technology centre will be showing the latest multifunctional surfaces and aesthetic concepts from its material innovations department. These include integrated sound components that allow speakers to be completely hidden, flexible electronics that make it easier to introduce new functions in all kinds of materials including fabrics; smart surfaces that combine buttons, sensors, projected light and innovative finishes; as well as conductive coatings that can heat up and cool all kinds of shapes and materials. Sustainability is becoming an important consideration even for luxury car buyers, so CTAG is also introducing a way to make renewable materials such as stone, wood and natural fibres into a visual feature, because the best way to make materials feel natural is to just use them.
