Fully automated, high-tech PVD equipment
Arzuffi

Arzuffi will present its Line-Met technology at this year’s Automotive Interiors Expo in Stuttgart.
The Line-Met family comprises fully automated, high-tech PVD equipment that combines high-quality treatments with high-volume, cost-effective production. Thanks to Line-Met’s compact layout, it can be easily integrated with molding machines as well as painting line solutions.

The substrate material can be plastic, metal, glass or something else. Line-Met can be supplied with different processes: plasma etching, plasma polymerization, sputtering and reactive sputtering of metals and alloys for colored results.

The Line-Met V4 version has been specifically designed and developed for the metalization of automotive interiors elements (such as trims and panels) and car emblems. It is suited for the technology of the future: Arzuffi proudly developed a special vacuum coating process for radome systems (emblems, protective covers for ADAS, FCW and ACC radar devices) that does not interfere with radar signals and guarantees non-shielding protection.

Arzuffi Line-Met V4 can obtain the highest-quality deposition: uniformity, repeatability of the process, chrome color matching and homogeneity. Arzuffi’s unique solution comes from the combination of a non-traditional metalization system, the design of a special chamber module and research on the most appropriate coating materials. This technology meets the latest trends of the automotive sector, such as lighted emblems (a combination of metallic finishes with backlighting to highlight aesthetic details in dim settings) and semi-transparent layers (application of a thin layer on a transparent or translucent substrate to let light pass through).

As with all Arzuffi equipment, Line-Met V4 can be customized to client needs: dimension and number of chambers, requested processes, position of electrical cabinet, single or double station, and so on.
