Ultrathin, optically precise glass for opulent display systems
AGC Automotive Europe

Functionalities are multiplying in cars. In the past, this trend would have resulted in fighter-jet-like cockpits with buttons, switches and knobs galore. Fortunately, design and technology integration is also evolving, allowing OEMs and Tier 1s to develop HMI both ergonomically and aesthetically. The shift from buttons to screens is gradually making necessary their seamless integration with adapted material like glass.

Glass is constantly evolving as a versatile material, and the chemically reinforced ultra-thin glass ranges by FeelInGlass and Dragontrail perform outstandingly both mechanically and optically. They meet high standards in terms of fire, humidity and UV resistance, making them suitable for any kind of application.

To ensure its Feelinspiration range responds to the new requirements, AGC explored a differentiated approach to integrate glass products in interior environments. This resulted in three series of exclusive designs and patterns broadly serving the following applications: seamless integration of displays through gradient and transparency effects, backlighting possibilities to hide data or functions, and the ability to cover noble materials or lightings modules.

The Sharing, Serenity and Dynamism collections bring a new vision of ergonomics and aesthetics in automotive interiors.
