Replace flat touchscreens with 3D-shaped touch surfaces
Canatu - Booth A7175

The three-dimensional touch surfaces that Canatu will be showcasing at Automotive Interiors Expo give freedom to designers, as functions can be discretely integrated into sleek interiors. Transparent touch sensors can be combined with complexly shaped displays, plastic, glass, leather or textile, going far beyond what traditional, flat touchscreens allow.

Canatu says this flexibility offers near-unlimited possibilities for smart touch surfaces in the interiors of the future. Functions can easily be located with the help of intuitive and tactile user interfaces and 3D shapes – thus enabling decreased driver distraction and increased safety. Replacing physical control buttons with in-moulded touch surfaces results in space and weight savings, in addition to shortened assembly times and lower associated costs.
