To introduce some wow factor into the plastic surfaces of an automotive interior, Albis plastic has developed Alcom LD Deep Color. The material can appear as a non-interactive, glossy surface, or – when backlit – symbols, displays and buttons can be shown. Different grades result in different amounts of light coming through the material. This allows functional elements to be completely concealed beneath the surface.
The plastic can be finished in either deep black or clear white, but in both cases the material exhibits excellent luminous efficiency and color transmission without degradation. The ALCOM plastic also offers a choice between softening the shapes displayed or keeping them pin-sharp.
