Car reviewers tend to go on about ‘soft-touch’ materials. Sekisui Alveo’s soft, light and flexible polyolefin (PE and PP) foams will silence them – and your cars’ road noise – since they possess high acoustic absorption qualities and are also ideally suited as a soft material for dashboards, door trim and armrests. The company claims its foam is twice as soft as conventional PP foams, has pleasant haptic qualities and offers excellent processing characteristics with high temperature stability. The company says its foam is also ideal for use in thermoformed air ducts and can be processed into moisture and dust seals.
