Weber Manufacturing supplies NVD (nickel vapour deposition) nickel shell tooling for every type of manufacturing process that creates the soft-touch textured surfaces typical of dashboards, door panels and centre console parts. Weber’s nickel shell tooling can be used for slush cast skin, polyurethane robotic spray, reaction injection moulding and in-mould grained negative vacuum forming.

Using a reusable deposition mandrel, Weber is able to manufacture nickel tooling more quickly, while attaining higher precision than would be possible with electroforming. The company also produces master models wrapped in leather, steel-etched master models and epoxy mother models.
