Sandler non-wovens are used in over 50 car models worldwide, providing a quiet, pleasant drive as interior and exterior absorbers, carrier materials for moulded parts and non-wovens for seat upholstery. In 2016, Sandler introduced new developments, expanding the range of non-wovens for the transportation industry:
sawasorb® premium exterior shadow completes Sandler’s range of high-performance absorber non-wovens. It is lightweight, features excellent sound absorption at low product thickness, has a dark colour for visible applications, and possesses hydrophobic and oleophobic properties that the material retains throughout its operating life. Not only is the surface of Sawasorb premium exterior shadow permanently hydro- and oleophobic, but also its edges, thus preventing the need for further processing. Sawasorb premium exterior shadow particularly commends itself for exterior applications, such as wheel house liners, bumpers or underbody shields.
The Sawasorb advanced product line combines high acoustic efficiency with lightweight construction for resource conservation. The non-wovens feature excellent sound absorption throughout the frequency range at low product thickness. At a thickness of just 6mm, Sawasorb advanced meets acoustic requirements designed to be met by absorbers of about 15mm thickness. It is therefore ideal for narrow installation spaces – for example in door side panels, dashboard or boot. Sawasorb advanced is available in white or black, depending on the requirements of the respective application.
