Printing ink manufacturer Marabu will showcase its new screen printing ink for film insert molding (FIM) for the first time at Automotive Interiors Expo 2020. The product portfolio includes decorative inks as well as functional inks such as non-conductive black or IR transmission right from the start. Born and tested intensively in the company’s modern in-house FIM test center, the new FIM ink series has been successfully proved by numerous customers from the automotive industry. The new ink series combines a one- or two-component processing feature, excellent formability on both high-pressure forming by Niebling and vacuum forming, plus very good washout resistance.
Beyond this new FIM solution, customers rely on Marabu screen and pad printing inks for automotive applications. Marabu inks are used in cover lenses for displays, aluminum interior trim parts, emblems and top column modules. Highly versatile Marabu inkjet inks are suitable for multiple scenarios, including printing on flexible or rigid substrates and subsequent coating processes.
