To give slush-moulded parts a touch more flair, Nakan will be showcasing the specialty SpraySol paint for in-mould painting technology dedicated to two-tone soft skins. It allows parts to be produced with not only a perfectly formed grain, but it also opens up the possibility of decorating the skin with aluminium flakes, pearlescent or interferential pigments. The technology has already been used by Audi, Škoda, Citroën and DS, while others will start using it this year.
Nakan has also developed PrintSol, a specialty vinyl ink for inkjet printing. Thanks to an internally developed 6-axis robotised inkjet printer that can handle printing on complex curved shapes. This technology applies fine decorations to the skin and is so precise that it even allows printing on embossed or debossed details such as fake stitches.
